Our Story

The Maidez Center was created to fill avoid between grant funded services (or the lack thereof) and the local needs of youth and families in Monroe and Randolph counties. While there are phenomenal agencies, organizations, philanthropic groups, charitable entities, and various groups providing services, there exists a need to unify and thread these efforts.
The Regional Office of Education for Monroe and Randolph counties began this effort while being led Regional Superintendent of Schools Kelton Davis. His desire was to collaborate and coordinate efforts across agencies and groups during incredibly challenging fiscal times where economy of scale and cohesion of supports is needed most.
Donations made to The Maidez Center are fully tax deductible but are usually targeted for the specific initiative(s) of the Partners of the organization.
The executive board is comprised of the chairs of the respective partner organizations and also include community members and two representative officials, Representative Jerry Costello and Regional Superintendent of Schools Kelton Davis that serves as the treasurer and fiscal agent for The Maidez Center.
